OCTOBER is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This special October AKC Scent work trial will honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, recognizing the life-saving importance of early detection — in both humans and dogs.
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime
(American Cancer Society).
Approximately 1 in 4 unspayed female dogs will develop mammary tumors, with about 50% being malignant
(American College of Veterinary Surgeons).
